Mission

Hstar's mission is to create and deploy intelligent mobile robotic assistants that safely enhance productivity in the fields of healthcare and materials handling.

Core Competencies:

Hstar pursues ground-breaking robotics research and development supported by private investors, as well as grants from the U.S. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Hstar's success in attracting initial concept grants - five of the Phase I SBIR grants have been extended through Phase II - demonstrates the success we have had in the healthcare, industrial, and military communities.

Hstar has assembled a highly talented team of engineers and scientists who specialize in the core competencies crucial to the creation of highly functional, and user-friendly robotic systems:

  • High mobility robotic system development
  • Autonomous & intelligent robot navigational controls
  • Haptic feedback (human-like sensing of force, weight and balance)
  • High performance adaptive compliant actuators for safe, efficient, dexterous manipulation
  • Heavy payload bi-manual actuation
  • Software and medical systems integration
  • Telepresence systems
  • Ergonomic Human / robot interface and interaction
  • Sensory Perception for manipulation, navigation, and surveillance
  • Holonomic mobile platform development
  • Mecanum wheel development
